One of the gripes in using LRMs in DF is that it doesn't compete well with other DF weapons that could snap fire, and this is because Lock time.

Here's an Idea for change, what if TCs provide reduced Lock-On-Time and/or Increased Lock Angle? This way, the lock-nerf is mitigated, but it has to used TCs of varying weight. For Example:

TC1: -10% Lock-Time, +6 Degree Lock Cone
TC2: -12% Lock-Time, +8 Degree Lock Cone
TC3: -14% Lock-Time, +10 Degree Lock Cone
TC4: -16% Lock-Time, +12 Degree Lock Cone
TC5: -18% Lock-Time, +14 Degree Lock Cone
TC6: -20% Lock-Time, +16 Degree Lock Cone
TC7: -22% Lock-Time, +18 Degree Lock Cone
TC8: -24% Lock-Time, +20 Degree Lock Cone

It would make Locking a lot easier to do like pre nerf, but that means you have to allot up to 8 tons and 8 crit-slots for it.
