For competitive play, and practice for competitive sometimes teams have to swap sides.

Have Team 1 switch to Team 2 at the bottom and Team 2 switch to Team 1 at the top.

It'd be REALLY nifty if there were a button that would do that "automagically" to prevent mistakes and to keep team loadouts hidden.

i really think we need more robust custom lobbies with a lobby browser, and upgrades to group forming tools. we will get to the point where the population will get so low that pgi wont be able to support all the modes any more. qp will probibly be still kicking around in 8v8 mode with no group queue with the custom games providing all the other modes on a play what you want to basis. solaris matches, fp games and the like. if you want to play something make an open custom lobby and see who shows up. or if you want to plan some coordinated matches between units they can use private custom lobbies. when qp is no longer sustainable you would go to pure custom games until official support ends. it also provides a route for a graceful abandonment of the game where the community can keep it alive by providing their own servers.

A persistent lobby would have been slick in this game. Think Squad. After a match, the outfit that owns that server moves players around to get a more balanced fight. Randoms leave, and randoms join, and more balancing is done on the next round. All of us want good fights, and I think players would do their part to balance teams if you could more easily manage the teams.
