...objectively, objectively pay-to-win.
It's not even a question.
The best part about it? It's also the fastest possible way to keep me from paying you any money.

So how exactly is it pay to win?
What hero mechs are so obscenly over powered you can't work out how to beat them?

Neat!
So looking at Season 3's top 25 in each division, that's 175 mechs. Of those, 21 were mechs that can only be bought with money. That includes an HBK-IIC(C), the only HBK-IIC that's in Div 5 (thanks, PGI!). Solaris was dominated by a plethora of c-bill mechs, and will continue to be dominated by a plethora of c-bill mechs, the division updates haven't changed much.
The grind is kinda ridiculous though, Solaris is really inaccessible to new players, the trial mechs are a joke. To cover all divisions and have a decent chance in each you need to buy and skill at least 7 good variants, which takes a lot of c-bills and a lot of grinding. Solaris would be slightly less dead if it wasn't gated to old veterans that have the resources to throw into it.
