So a lot of nova with 6 c-flamer emerge since the flamer achievement, my question is how do you fight them? Once they get close you can't fire anything without overheating

Dont let them get close or shoot off the arm with flamers. Otherwise your team will have to help you out.

1. Fire a weapon that does less than 10% heat.
2. Torso twist around and just wait for him to have to stop firing. (flamers get progressively hotter for the shooter)
3. Look for your nearest teammates on your minimap and start running back toward them.

The biggest threat flamers have is catching someone who is unaware he is being flamed. Awareness is the biggest counter to flamers.

Public service announcement - flamers now have ghost heat when firing more than four flamers.

Use your 4x flamers at them. :P

Fire fire with fire... and machine guns... and gauss rifles.

More than 4 flamers causes ghost heat so expect them to run superhot too :) Nova is supereasy to cripple. Spot them fast.
Carry Coolshots during the event.

1. Override
2. Knock off one of their side torsos
3. Turn of override before your reactor stackpoles.

Literally - stay outside of 90m.

If you let a Flamer Nova get that close you've kinda already failed. That said as the others have posted, just torso twist and wait for him to stop shooting... Flamers heat the mech that is using them as well so it will eventually stop.

Just don't panic basically. Flamers are so badly nerfed and situational they ain't much of a problem.

Ballistic weaponry. Stay out of range. Break its leg. Combine 2 and 3 for best effect. If he is too close then chain fire your lasers/use ballistic weaponry to break the leg and gain distance.

Wanted to jump back in here because I had a funny game with a flamer Nova last night.

I was running my UAC20 Grid Iron last night and ran into one of those Novas on the platform on Crimson. I hit him in the CT with a double tap but then he heated me up to 90% right after.

I stopped. He stopped in front of me, still using his flamers. I decided, "F**k it!", hit override and alpha'd his CT. He blew up, then I powered down and spent the rest of the game listening to things on my mech exploding. We had pretty much won by then anyways.

He was a good sport about it in chat though :)

I like that these guys usually decide to shut down my Warhammer. With double LBX10. Which produce less than 10% heat.

I only once had the problem of them cornering one of my other Mechs.
