This event would be to promote Faction Play to all MWO players once per year, the same way the "Solaris Kick Off" event promotes Solaris once per year.

Once per year, for a week or two, Faction Play grouping is disabled and the Faction Play team lists are entirely generated by a Match Maker (and not directly based on the queuing up order), with a mix of Clan and IS players allowed in both teams.
This event would be to promote Faction Play to all MWO players once per year, the same way the "Solaris Kick Off" event promotes Solaris once per year.
