Please change headshot requirement for event to:
Headshot kill OR 100 kills.
Just as ridiculous but achievable.

As MWO's worst headshotter, I say it's ok for the event to require a headshot without an alternative.

Just drop with a friend in Solaris. Its quite easy. Also its a worthless cache and some pocket change, nothing to get bent out of shape over.

last time this event happened, I dropped in an unskilled Anni, headshotted 2 mad cats in a row and was done in one game.

Done it first try. Strapped a pair of Gauss Rifles on my MCII-B and one ER PPC.
Headshots are very achiavable when you've got a pair of arms that move on XY axis.

It's a valid mission requirement, albeit I admit it can be annoying. But it's great target practice.

Well for myself I am going to have to go hunting for one because I think my head shot count is something like 23 total since game hit open beta. Not going to sweat it if I don't complete that challenge though.

Gauss charge is trash and ALL gauss is shelved due to it. Thanks for suggestion though.

Just get a buddy to Solaris and headshot each other. Done in 10 mins max.

dual or triple HPPC is also an easy headshot option for those who hate gauss for some reason.

spend 2 minutes getting used to the timing in testing grounds. Do two full runs of crimson and you'll have it figured out.

Well, I stopped fretting over getting the challenges. Rewards usually suck anyway. But to stay on topic, in about 14 months of playing, I have managed 1 (one) headshot kill ingame. Meesa uber...

I wish they do more things that were hard to get. Right now everything is just kids time events. Most the time i don't even look at them anymore.

Triple HPPC Awesome is excellent for headshots. Just aim in the vicinity of the cockpit and you'll get one before too long.

Also HGauss charge is really not a big deal once you get the two charge skill nodes. It's definitely worth practicing to open up some build possibilities.
