I play on cell internet, and my computer is about 10 years old now. I7 990X, 8gb ram, GTX 480. I only get disconnected if my cell phone overheats while tethered, crash once maybe every 200 games or so.
Not bragging on that by any means, but I don't know many people with worse setups than mine.

Anyway,
- try to close the game completely before reconnect.
- run memory test (i.e. Memtest64) - sometime you can get all sort of weird behavior when one of memory banks are faulting.
- check your CPU is not overheating, i.e run some utility that displays CPU temp on screen and pay attention to it when the game crashes.

If you have this empty lobby after relogin, log out & in again, then you can rejoin the match.
I figured out that MWO is very sensitive to small interruptions in Internet connection.
So i have Internet over my power line connection. There are sometimes small interruptions and MWO disconnects. Then i put out the cable and put it in again and the problem is solved. (New connection with router is established)
Also try to minimize all application usage which are affecting internet while you play MWO. I still have standalone client and i close steam when i play MWO and that helps a lot.
Hope i could help you.

Most players are not having the problems that you're describing here.

i have no issues but with this game all my other online games run flawlessly. my rig is a i7-3770 with 16GB memory, 2x7950 in xfire don't think my machine is the issue with speed or video , it's water cooled so heat isn't a factor. i run a AC2100 router so plenty of bandwidth ..

I don't have any issues whatsoever with this game, no DCing, no crashes, etc, so it's something on your end. Some games stress the PC out more or in different ways than others, cryengine has historically exposed more instability in the hardware than others but it could also be software. If your DC happens without MWO crashing, it could also be your network card/modem overheating.

but none of my other devices/computers lag or DC and the comms are still connected even after i been completely booted out back to login (which tells me i am still connected to the VOIP server without issue, if it was my network both should cut out) .. don't think my network is the problem . it only happens with this game. none of my other ONLINE games do i have a issue.

(because the timeout limit is set lower than other games)

negitive.. cause i have used multiple PCIe cards and disabled my onboard does it does the same thing, switched out my modem and router and didn't change anything either. before you try and tell me about issues.. i am A+ and Net+ certified have been for over 20 years.. i pretty confidence my computer is not the cause ...
