I have been one-shot'd by a Mad Dog,Archer or a Catapult that sports 6x or more SSRM 6s.

once you meet them around their range area it is an immediate *POOF" heaven for lights

Run Stealth lights. Laugh at streak boats.

/No, TAG isn’t useful, because of uncounterable ECM up close.

BAP does not counter Stealth ECM, though. Only regular ECM.

BAP/CAP doesn’t affect stealth mechs, or their ECM disruption. It means you have a range of 120-270, requiring unbroken line of sight and constant tag for a few seconds.

Pretty optimistic assuming some one running close range lock on weapons isn't running a BAP.

They are actually quite dangerous to mediums too, if you spot one you should immediately break off and call them out to your team so they can take them out for you and let you get back to work (being obnoxious).

use your mobility to find easy targets and dont attack until you know what you are up against.

I personaly run x4 SSRM6 on my Timber Wolf, skilled for mobility to make it just that little harder for lights to escape me. I literaly made it into a mech that torments lights who have the nerve to run into my team to harrass <3

On the other hand, if you're in a Heavy in Light's clothing like the Linebacker, it's pretty hilarious seeing a Streak boat running eagerly toward your fast blip with the gleam of a prospective light kill in their cockpit canopy only for the inevitable "OH ****" when they realize the truth.

Streaks need nerfs vs smaller mechs and buffs vs bigger mechs.

I run a few Streak builds (Commando, Vulcan, & Javelin) and I can tell you what spoils my fun.

1. Team up with another ECM mech. BAP/ECM can only counter one ECM at a time.
2. Stay close to your big brothers. I want that kill, but if you get back to your pack it will be a 1/1 trade at best. I'll either break off or die.
3. Use your targeting info. Can't count the number of times a Piranha has LeeRoy'd after my VL-BL and just gone poof. If I can't find easy prey, I'll have to take on something more dangerous and it will hurt.
4. Try to get an enemy mech between you and the SSRMs. A lot of time I have to hold my fire because I'll clobber a teammate.

Bonus: Don't over rely on your mobility. Streaks lock where the arms point, regardless of where they are mounted.

2nd bonus: The "buff" SSRMs got did help them against heavier mechs and hurt them against lighter mechs. I don't want to hit a light's CT, I want to hit it's legs. I do want to hit the heavys and assaults in the CT because I am probably hitting rear armor. So the buff (I ran these before the buff) has made it more likely that I can take down a Fafnir and less likely to be able to cripple a Flea.

One more reason Streaks should deadfire like LRMs and ATMs without a lock.

Do you even know how laughable that is?

One alpha from any streak boat cripples most light mechs. Two outright demolishes all light mechs.

Streaks are the most ******** form of auto-aim.

One weapon system that defeats an entire class and aims for you is not a good thing for a game.
