I just recently came back after a long break.I'm loving the dakka of my Cataphract 4x.To me dakka is the most fun and I ******* hate lrm wars.

See above: nothing really has changed..... Same old LRM whining. Same old thought processes (NASCAR'ing just about every match...) Same old population shortage.

Many of us only play events with MC..... Drop in, get some MC you'll never use, talk to a few old friends that seem stuck in this game, relive the fun we used to have in mechs you loved and then, go play a modern game until the next event........which seem weekly, since there is no other reason to be here and PGI knows that....

MW5 will either kill this game or help it somehow....... I suspect the former but, the corporate rhetoric is the opposite since I'd bet they are hoping that "something" is better than "nothing" and players will transition..... Who knows anymore.

Wow that is a needlessly pessomistic and emo look at the world... Its a videogame, you come back because you want to play that videogame. Mechwarrior Online is still fun to play, you can find a match in every game mode, would you bitter never-play-but-post-regardless bitter old farts chill out? Nobody's impressed by you disliking things.

rumors say next patch will see a finishing straight and a lap-counter to all the nascar-maps. so if you got annoyed by nascar when you left:
now is the perfect time to return and enjoy more of it. same if you don't like it, though

I wouldn't know the current state of the game if I don't ask about the changes right?

Anyway nothing major seems to have changed? Just went 7-3. Not bad for not having played in months.

Guess I'll check back in again when 8v8 or something major like a real matchmaker is implemented.

You are correct, it is a videogame.... It is fun to play: at events only for nostalgia reasons.......everyone else is gone I'm afraid. Negative players and toxic gameplay drove off thousands of them..... Entire teams. Bitter, of course, this was a great game at one time and we'd have 15 or 20 members all working, training and playing every night.... Impressed? Seriously? It's a game lad and we're all retired and play to be together; there is no one we need to impress....you do understand that....?

I am the last of them. Their voice to what was and never can be again..... An old warrior, the last scout of the old type... First in and Last out. We don't care if you don't like it; because, we've earned real spurs and paid the price.....and, this game, is but one of many where, we gathered and serve with each other once again.....till we claim our seats at Fiddler's Green... We can't hear you, you aren't and can't be one of us....... it's just a game but, when we gather, as we did in our youth, we are what we were once again, and sadly, the game failed us..... Good luck and your words sound so bitter and condescending for a person who is suppose to be having fun ! You need to work on your people skills......
