there was a mod for bsnes posted on hack a day which gave mode 7 hd support. this improves the look of snes mechwarrior a little bit.

I actually went back to Diablo 1 with some friends. It's still good. You can see the potential that would become Diablo II. Only for blizzard to mess things up so bad the whole D2 team walked out on them. They just don't make games as good as they used to. Thinking back to Gangsters, Lords of the Realm 2, Pharaoh, Majesty, Homeworld, etc. Back when game developers had to be creative. Didn't rely on a set formula of profitability.

And more importantly, they didn't rely on early access/backers. When they made a game, they finished it before shipping it.

I still play Diablo 1 once in a while. I'm on a quest to get the Kings Sword of Haste.
I had it once but lost in during a PC upgrade,

but the battle AI in LOTR II... my god. "Ok, we've attacked you. Now we will huddle in the corner because you're stronger, and there is no battle timer or anything, so you need to leave your defenses and assault us

its arrogance, hubris... to make a game so good then change it instead of upgrade it,
that's what happened to Doom II
All that outside fun. then Doom 3 and all narrow halls and inside claustrophobia.
