The Order
Rated R
Van Damme plays a thief in this movie, attempting to find his father who he suspects was kidnapped.
The movie starts out with Van Damme attempting to steal a jeweled egg from the Russian Mob, only things don't go as well as hoped and he gets into a fight (no surprise there). Making off with the egg, he adopts a disguise of a police officer. When he learns that his fate is missing he heads off to the Holy Land where he comes across a tough spirited female police officer who searches his luggage. After he gets into a car chase he is arrested, and ends up in the custody of said female police officer which he then eludes by scaling down a building, and off to more misadventure. In yet another chase the police take off after him, and after trying to look like an orthodox jew, a merry roof top chase ensues. He discovers that "the order" may have his father, a religious sect hoping to start WW III. Dressed as one of the order (a white head to toe tunic with a red stripe down the middle), he enters into an underground tunnel, and gets into another fight during his attempt to stop a bomb. After a victorious sword fight he dumps the bomb down a shaft that was one of the traps he almost fell into.
Martial Arts violence, mil cursing, non-nude strip bar. Some humor. Fairly decent, mildly entertaining. Not for young children.
