Hi all. I logged in to play today and battle sound work fine and are at normal levels, however,

• Other players voices in voip
  
• Other players hearing my voice in voip
  
• Bitchin Betty's voice and
  
• The company commanders voice

are all really soft.


The only difference I can think of between when it was working and when the other sounds were dimmed is that my son installed Discord for another game.

I have:

• fiddled with sound settings (increasing DB levels in voip),
  
• uninstalled Discord
  
• reset the game settings to the default,
  
• rebooted the game,
  
• rebooted my system,

all to no effect.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any thoughts?

Got the solution on Reddit. Posting here for posterity...

I've had similar audio issues, and i can offer a couple of potential fixes. First thing to try is disabling application exclusivity on your sound device:

• Right-Click your sound icon on the Windows Taskbar
  
• Click on Sounds
  
• In the new Sound window, click on the Playback tab
  
• Right-Click your preferred sound output device and choose Properties
  
• In the new Properties window, click the Advanced tab
  
• Under the heading of Exclusive Mode, remove the checkmark beside Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device
  
• Test
