prolly my last day of FW since i am playing conquest mode for the last 6 hours now
...and i wonder what this has to do with FW


If they had any inderesting modes for Solaris i could understand that move...somehow...unfortunately they don´t.

Honestly, I try not to be that know-it-all forum-warrior who whinges about everything and thinks his half-baked plans are perfect. I hate that guy. But seriously, this Faction Play update is absolutely shocking. You've taken a game mode that I genuinely loved, in spite of all it's little foibles, and made it worse in every single way. You have to get up early to get things this wrong. The last time I was this disappointed in a game that mattered to me was when CCP made us have to walk around in shoddy-graphics 3rd person when we were docked up in EvE Online. We couldn't even see our ships anymore - we had either Rubbish Avatar Mode or a 2d picture of an airlock that looked like a C64 loading screen from 1986. I looked at that bloody door for 6 months rather than engage with that half-assed excuse for a patch. This is just like that, except probably worse.

At least they're consistent. Every single time they release a game breaking patch, it's on a 3 day weekend where anyone with the ability to fix anything is on vacation.

Actually, some of the reasons why is that there has never been enough eyes on the storyboard to where someone could/should speak up with enough the cons of said setup. But on this subset, didn't PGI learn anything from the initial Dec 2016 to the update June 2017 patches, where they went through the EXACT same thing when Tug of War was introduced in Dec 2016?

June 2017 Tug of War operated on a 'weighted-random' selection system. While a specific Game Mode may still be weighted to a distinct phase of the Tug of War, Faction Play Invasion matches will now have a random chance of running any of the other Invasion Game Modes.

best thing to do, ALT + F4, play another game. If this keeps up there will be some room freeing up on my hard drive.

The tug-of-war position controlling the map-mode is complete and utter madness. I had no idea it was ever like this (I left not long after beta and returned about 2 years ago). Thanks for sharing!

Taking a break from eating seafood and surfing. To say easy adjust is.
1. Scout 2 hour, 2. Skirmish 2 hours, 3 domination 2 hours 4. Conquest 2 hours 5. Seige 2 hours, 6. Counter attack 2 hours. Next day mix it up so no one time frame has the same mode at the same time.

If you left after beta then there is a lot you had missed. The above was version 4/4.1. When CW (community warfare) when live we only had Siege maps and they were fewer in number than what we have now, and there was no Tug of War. Attacker only had to win/own 8 out of 15 wedges to capture the planet.

And it went from Community Warfare to Faction Warfare to Faction Play.

We had.. TWO MAPS..Boreal Vault and Sulfurous Rift. I thought we had more at the start.. Included a quoted post from a player with CW links from Dec 2014 to June 2015.
