Positive Invasion Thread?

at least the devs still try to pretend to care? that's good right?
people are still prepared to coin so that's also good right?
people have shut up talking about LuRMs, this, i am certain, is good.
siege is also still available once a week so i am happy about that.
if we could play on all the maps then maybe, just maybe...
can we keep a thread alive with no salt? i'm pretty sure PGI is immune to common sense anyway but maybe if we just say yes, yes, yes more often they will hear us?
someone say something nice (don't be too hard on your honest sensible salty selves, it took me ages to think nice thoughts too, but maybe if we practice...)
mechwarrior lite is better than playstation.

I like the idea behind having the story backing the events and how it can progress through different stages.
I appreciate that there has been some effort into improving the match maker.
And some of the changes letting us see the progress, like the war log and so on, it's good.

4) Can't get much worse ?

it's good that people are complaining they can't get a game because it shows people are still interested in trying.
it's good that there's no loyalty because players will buy mech packs? IS pilots will now buy linebackers etc...
it'd be great if we could play all the maps in invasion...
it's good that we can often chat with our enemies between games (via clan chat when it's clan vs clan etc).
it's good that we can chat whilst searching for a game.
it's great that we can fiddle with our dropdecks whilst we are searching!

The good thing about Invasion at the moment is: while devs don't fix it, they develop MW5.
Another try: I played the game first time this year. And Its still as greatly balanced as always. The Faction play is great aswell. House Davion all the way...
Wait! I know, I can do it! I can make a post without salt. Like I knew how to Invasion today!
This thread is salt. I like salt. Its coarse and rough.Exactly like Polar Highlands.

Translation from Dexter speak to Human:
1) More LRMS cause clan LRMs are lighter!
2) Yay less wall and more LRM friendly maps
3) I can skip incursion and conquest because LRMs are bad against lights
4) Im happy that the real players hate this so only noobs that are vulnerable to lrms will remain.

I'll take the chance Appogee.
I like the Mission part of CW now. We did ask for a more 'immersive' experience and they did deliver. It may not be exactly what we want or had envisioned, but I like it. It cannot ever be everything to everyone, but this is better IMO. Like all things, there are improvement that need to be made but I do like this step and feel it is in the right direction.
We have visual queue numbers, that's great. We asked for it and we got it.
I do think we have a better foundation now to build on. I am playing CW again and enjoying it again. If not for these changes I do not think I would be playing again. I know it will never be like it was and how we all remember it was years past. Going forward I have hope. I still hope because I am still a BT fan, nerd, and still making friends in CW.
They must address Loyality and how to work that into our current CW. They must address Scouting.
It is no way perfect as it is now.

5) A lot less LRM hating (replaced with FP patch hating).
You know Clan missiles drop dead in August right ? Means players have two months left to try them out before they go extinct.

Removing Clan missiles in a game that is already undeniably dominated by energy weapons (with or without aiming assistance), will only further increase that domination.
And that's only going to help chase out more players, by making energy weapon based stomps even more one-sided then they already are : It's MWO's coffin you're talking about.

Going outside? Taking up an instrument? Morning runs? Perhaps I'll take up a hobby? I can feel myself becoming statistically less likely to die of bum cancer by the second. So that's a positive. Yay.
