The current event is not fun. Most of the weapons are rarely used or do not synergize with other weapons in the event. This leads to lots of people playing crappy builds just to complete the event requirements. It's a chore. It's unfun.

Events should be open-ended but have a reward curve that provides increasingly interesting rewards for high skill/high time commitment, with a linear cbill/MC scaling.

Its a lot of work IMO
Like you got a job as a grease monkey in some guys mechlab
If you dont need the MC its not really worth the effort.

But if you do?
You going to have to work abit thats for sure

Nope - this approach excludes benefits from people who ren't in the top proportion of the diminishing population and only really rewards the try hards or long experienced players. This approach hasa been and continues to be detrimental to the population at large.

Go find your bridge and take a nap under it :)

Then why have events at all if they're going to require things that nobody uses? When was the last time anybody used a Clan AC/20???

Is an event with greater rewards for greater input without silly restrictions that encourage poor builds really going to chase away the 12 new players from the last 2 months?

This event is clearly meant to force players to try out of meta things which might actually suit player's play-style better. I was surprised by the fact that IS UAC/5 still just works, even if it fell out of favor for many.
Besides, event is week long and goal numbers are joke. You don't need to strap a bunch of event guns on mech and suffer. One weapon system at a time and even this one don't have to be a primary one.
