I've tried to get a game or two in almost every day since closed beta. Sometimes it's more or less convenient, and occasionally it's the last hour after I should have gone to bed, or situation where I have a brief moment of realization that my impulse to run a round or two puts me in a "die hard MWO pilot" group. Last night, a tie rod end broke off my van while driving home from work. A friend helped me acquire parts so I could fix it right there in the parking lot. During the repair, my wrench broke, causing the tubular breaker bar to cleave the pad of my thumb all the way to the bone. I lost about 6 ounces of blood before some gas station paper towels and electrical tape stopped the bleeding. I finished the repair, and drove the van home.
As I log in to try and kill a couple fools today, and maybe this is just an excuse if I suck, I just want ya'all to know that I play with a track ball where I use that thumb as my primary trigger finger. There's a 1 day old laceration big enough to bury a penny inside of, wrapped in fresh gauze, that blasts a mind warping burning sensation all the way up my arm, EVERY time I shoot at you. So if I kill you today, just know that it hurt me more than it hurt you.

i usually play in long binges usually around and event and then take extended breaks from the game. this is great until pgi does back to back events that never end and you wonder where your life went.

Logged in just to like the OP’s post. Won’t go into gory details but I can relate.

Shouldn't you get that laceration checked out, McClane?

It's just a flesh wound soldier.
Slap some dirt on it.
Slap some dirt on it.
