They don't differ even in specular values. They're the exact same as far as I can see.

There are a lot of duplicate colors with different names for some reason. The copies should be merged together if you ask me, or changed just enough to be a slightly different shade.

Just imagine if PGI discovered the colour spectrum and gave them names Posted Image

Weird, I see a slight difference, but they are quite similar. On the other hand, it was ridiculously easy to earn so...*shrugs*.

Good hunting,

no actual idea how to, but i think you paste a screen with both colors into Photoshop or something and analize it to check if they differ.

Yeah, I mean, you can paste the screenshots and use the colour selector to see if the values are different or not. But in the game, to me, they look identical. There isn't even a change in the specular values as far as I can see.

There are some colors that look Identical in the mechlab, however once taken out to field the color looks massively different.

Example Midnight Blue and many of the shades of Black.

I'm red/green color blind. Thus I cannot contribute to this topic as a lot of the reds and a lot of the greens look the same to me.

I bought 3 variants of the Javelin. I'll try them later tonight and see if there is any difference between those two colours.

Oh, so people have finally figured out that there is actually only several actual colors in the game, and a bunch of the exact same colors with different names, that usually come with a mech pack..

Wait till you figure out that the exact same color looks different on a pattern and a decal..

I mean the visual customization in this game is off the chain, right?

Every color vision acuity test I've ever taken I've earned a perfect score on, which I use in preface to saying that I can see that they are slightly different. Extremely similar, but not identical.

Ok, I was very curious to find out so I loaded MWO in the office just now and checked the colours on my laptop. You're right. They are different but they look almost identical.

At home, I keep my Acer monitor under "Racing" preset. I couldn't differentiate between the colours.

I'm colour blind, all three reds we've got recently look exactly the same to me. If they look the same to.you, either your monitor needs adjusting or you are also colour blind.
