I've been inactive for a long time, and some of the things I see in patch notes and threads indicated ECM has gone through some changes in the last couple of years, particularly with the LRM change-up - or that it is going to. Can anybody link me the relevant information? I went over the patch notes, but if it's in there I missed it.

I'm not new, of course, but this information would be useful to new players, so I posted it here. =)

ECM reduces the range at which an enemy mech can detect your mech, by a set fraction of their sensor range (which can vary depending on presenc of AP, TC, CC, skill nodes and inherent buffs on Raven and Cyclops). See https://mwomercs.com...ost__p__6151558

On an unupgraded ECM mech this reduction is only 30% - in order to get the remaining 45% you have to buy two Enhanced ECM nodes in the Sensors tree (22.5% each). See https://mwomercs.com...14115-16may2017

ECM only increases enemy lock times if the missile carrier doesn't have LOS to you. The lock time is a function of their sensor range. See https://mwomercs.com...41980-19mar2019

PPCs disrupt ECM for varying durations. See https://mwomercs.com...-1487-15nov2016

ECM disables enemy Artemis in close proximity. See https://mwomercs.com...41840-16oct2018

Also, uncountered ECM prevents missile locks, cancels NARC (clarification: not when the ECM-carrier is narced) and renders TAG useless within the "bubble"range of 120m.

So basically, it's the same as when the skill tree dropped, plus the LOS and Artemis changes in more recent patches. I'd thought they were going to make ECM cause you to take longer showing up on enemy HUDs, but that must have been one of the information warfare changes they couldn't get to test out right.

Thanks!
