have they released any new MW5 videos recently?
maybe get an article printed about the games current progress?

or show a new feature for?

its just that after the videos they showed few months ago we got some coverage for the game over ign as well, smaller videos and then all of a sudden a complete silence has happen.

so maybe release some gameplay videos?

Russ said in the last AMA that they've been holding back the best video to generate interest before release. He also said that the money infusion from the Epic deal allows them to budget more for marketing, and that they are looking to put out more content soon. But soon could be this week, a month from now, or two weeks before launch.

Personally, if I were PGI I would try to release more MW5 material on the sooner end of soon, in the next week or two. The Epic exclusivity announcement poked the bear, releasing more video or other MW5 details might help to win over some of the community. Not the die hard "Epic is literally The Devil" crowd, but the people who are sort of on the fence.

I think marketing to the MWO community is dead at this point. To me it seams that the two groups have allready decided what they will do. Also the forums are hardly a representation of all MechWarrior fans. Its just the feeling the forums give me.

Anyway I think the best way to market MW5 would be to do a shareware version of the skirmish mode with a limited set of mechs and a fixed set of maps. Like in the old days. Something you can easly put on an USB stick and give around.
Depending how old you are you may remember the days when those shareware games made their round. It was awesome.

The Beta will allready be a skirmish mode for us to test so reduceing the number of assets and release that might be a way to generate more interest into the game as MW is quite a niche.
Also a short animated series about the Inner Spheres Lore, some comcis....stuff like that could help.
I recently watched an interview with the creator of BT and he said something alonge the line of "that we did the complete marketing with books and stuff" was what brought Battetech the success.
Hell talk to catalyst games and put an exclusive Mini out, that would be cool too.

i am not sure how much money they are planning to spend out all of a sudden in nov to get the pre orders outs.

i think in this one month there will be like 1 trailer, maybe 1 gameplay video and 1 article.. and then we will get close to the beta/demo thing

Strong hints in the MW5 discord just now (from Tina) that new video may go up tomorrow. They were only saying in emoticons though, so don't get too worked up!

Well Matt said (in words) not today, but not Friday. And the emoticon for movie (camera and film). And after, Tina used the sunrise/sunset emoticon. I interpreted correctly!
