Maybe the people who are less competent and can't handle a loss yeah.

It would be amusing to see it.

As I am pushing 50, I recognize I am a relatively “old man” in terms of those important quick twitch reflexes and that it isn’t going to get any better the older I get. You just have to make up for what you don’t have with what you can have.....battlefield awareness, smart builds (meta still works great for old folks, btw) and fighting dirty (what else should the young bucks expect from an old man). If some pilots can still put up good numbers while drunk, I figure I should be able to still put up good numbers while old

I remember there was a study that claims that people who play video games for a long time are going to get their brains hardwired for it.

Maybe, its possible for these hardwired brains, regardless of their age, to get an advantage over those who don't.

It's not just video games. It's anything you do in a significant amount.

well look, your reflexes might go but a sharp mind wont. im 31 and mainly play faster assaults and heavies as a supporter role/skirmisher where your reflexes arent AS needed. you want to shoot distracted mechs anyway or distract them and lure em away.

What about getting killed by a cat like anime character?

Depends on what kind of activity. Even the kind of video games --- MOBA vs. FPS vs. Puzzle games and so on.

Thanks for making me feel like an old fart at the grand age of 26.

I'm almost blind and nearsighted so it's hard for me to make out objects at a distance. thus I go to lrms for when I want an easier time playing but I find being a knife fighting little light to be a lot more fun.

Most of my catapults have broken 90,000 xp with max skill trees. My lights have around 110,000 xp since I rotate about seven favorite lights while randomly using the others. I blame my old pc hardware for loosing my light duels in qp as I can't afford up-to-date hardware. Still making due with my 2012 rig. I'm just fine at 40fps in my locust; wouldn't mind that $1800 pc to get in the 100 plus fps.

I'm playing with a PC from 2011 and doing fine. Granted, my PC in 2011 was near the top end of what you could build in the $2000 range, but still. 8 years old and still no compelling reason to upgrade.

This video is a gem. This was made back in 2012. The average age of gamers then were 33, and expected to get older.

There might be benefits to your brain brought by video games.

There was a player that went by the handle A_Fuffy_Bunny. So you would be killed by A fluffy bunny.

I can can think of a few girls that own fella's in this game on a regular basis. Audette, Moorland, Blue Splint, and BCMC's own Kornea to name a few.

I don't know some of us have been playing Battletech/Mechwarrior since 1984 (over 35 years). 2059 does not seem that impossible.

Relatively new (111hrs) but I come from a star citizen group and I play with people under 25 on MWO a lot, it's just they don't want to voice chat a lot, main group is basically 2 under 25s, myself 32 and another dude who is 36.

I think the main issue is younger people don't know this game exists and those that do don't play because they get slated on having "whiney voices". I always enjoyed playing online games with older people because they seem to come from the time I remember when people were respectful to each other.

That's my opinion anyway.

Is there still a stigma about getting killed by a girl still?
