But Epic told PGI to delay MW5 so now I have to wait another 15 months. Epic doesn’t like me or anyone else who had been looking forward to today I guess.

I am confused. MW5 pushed to another 15 months? You making this up?

It was, for non-EGS users, if to count from the old release date. Though i think it is 16.
*shrug* I'm much more concerned about the fate of MWO. That's 3-4 months of empty patches... The ****ing glorious Year of Faction Play.

Hmmmm
Mechwarrior 5 was supposed to release today and when OP says by 15 more months he means the steam release, because he doesn't want to support EGS

Not liking epic is a personal issue not PGI’s issue. No one is forced to wait 16 months.

in all fairness: no. nobody is forcing you to buy into epic, and the refund was easy and stressfree to handle.
in the same spirit of fairness:
-mwo is still (more or less) free2play, battletech is out on steam and GOG with 2 expansions and it's great fun, with countless mods you could slap on top and great support.
if you can't get your dosis of mechs via running in circles 24/7, try battletech

Since I preordered MW5 during the original preorder, I will participate in the beta, so I guess I'm kinda forced to use Epic.. but look at it this way..
I will sacrifice myself to make the game better for all you guys with beta testing.. ;-)

And by the time it releases on steam, my mod should be done and out there, which I hope will be in high demand since apparently MW5 is going to have "Weapon upgrades" as opposed to brand variants, now. (HBS BT technically had a mixture of both).
Talking at least 24 small lasers.
44 mostly different medium lasers.
And about 18 large lasers.
Over a dozen different autocannons for each class + ultra/5 and LBX-10
15 different Gauss Rifles.
23 different PPC/ER PPCs (combined list)
40 different missile launchers (SRM/LRM lists combined)
17 different MGs
9 different flamers
and that's just the weapon side of the mod plans before getting into equipment, engines, etc.
As such, I, too, have to sacrifice myself to Epic in order to have these made in time for those with the patience to wait for Steam's release.
(That list didn't include pulse lasers or ER large lasers, oops. But those are in the works too.)
