I just kind of wonder why nobody arund me at Polar "Loving" Highlands didn't run long range builds. I mean IS erll is longer, mechs are tougher, there are some good and cheap high mount options for IS. Yet I keep seeing some dudes trying to medium range hillhump. They always lose face in the process.

That is because of an event.

You get ALL the HOTAS users filling the queues and bringing totally useless mechs...

But you know, FP/Groups are the "problem" for bringing proper builds...

Also by default cERLL (740/1480) has a longer reach then isERLL (675/1350). Where it starts to get muddy are quirks, IS mechs have more quirks then Clan mechs, then followed by a player's decision on what nodes to take in the Skill Tree.

cERLL (740m/1480m) 10.75dmg @ 740m

isERLL (675m/1350m) and 9dmg @ 675m / 742..5m w/10% range quirk.
For those mechs with 10% energy range quirk - 742.5m / 1485m

Of 103 mechs, 12 Clan mechs have 2.5% to 5% energy range quirks. Of the IS mechs it looked about even between 5%-10% energy range quirks, then with only the Atlas K with a 15% energy range quirk....

Yeah, pilots who know how FP plays would be rolling out Battlemasters and Stalkers.
