Wow... Im sorry PGI for bringing such a topic up again but if any of our teams here at MWO's WC this year do something similar like those people did and get punished for expressing right of free speech, you will not like the backlash and massive attention it will bring with it. You are getting help from Epic Games Store and Tim Sweeny made it very clear in regarding this incident on twitter stating that They would support players human rights and all etc. At least this is something im sure everyone here will agree on that this was highly uncalled for. I will say this. I want Blizzard Entertainment to GET OUT of the U.S for good. Even Bill Maher and "Vice News on HBO" has gotten involved and is investigating these incidents.

Don't lock the thread if you respect the ethics of basic human rights.

The right of free speach can be applauded in one country and get you thrown into jail into another.
Only because you think your Western approach of free speach means you can say everything you want, well go to UK and abuse the queen in your free speech, or go to Germany and say the Holocaust was a Hoax.... you end in jail or get a heavy fine.

I'm not so sure if computer games should be used for "Real World Politics" - thinking about it no it should not be misused to manipulate people - so if so called human rights activist want to use a game platform to abuse the rights of other humans to "just play" its not correct or right either.

Blizzard will be fine. In fact, it has proven to be the most American of companies by putting profit above all else.

This is from an article on the Atlantic.

In April 1868, a delegation of Chinese officials visited the United States. Among them was a Manchu mandarin named Zhigang who who one of the first Chinese travelogues describing a visit to the West. Zhigang wrote reams on American shipbuilding, steel mills, microscopes, and printing presses. Zhigang also had an insight about the resilience of American values that his successors in Beijing understand today. In America, he noted, “the love of God is less real than the love of profit.”
