PGI announcing they're selling the game, the rights to the game, and the Microsoft licensing rights to HBS. Followed by HBS announcing they are saving the mech art from MWO, and throwing the rest of the game in the dumpster and building a new first person MMO game based on the existing mech art.
They could leave MWO servers running until the new game is up and running.
Yeah, I'd come back for that.
I'd bring my wallet too.

You still can, nothing stops you specifically. However, GP has been a little slow as of late, but I've been told Faction Play is up and working. Take your smaller groups to FP, you should find matches there (depending upon how busy that game mode is).

To those of you that no longer play: what would bring you back?
Assuming that once MW5 launches, PGI re-allocates development resources back to MWO... what could they do to get you to play again?
New maps?
New mechs?
New game modes?
Faction play improvements?
Re-balancing?
etc

For me, it would take either a new CPU/mobo (my old mobo died, currently on a notebook with AMD R4 mobile graphics and 4GB RAM that still runs War Thunder just fine) or a new game engine that did not require so much in hardware resources.

1:Re-Rescaling...75t Black Knights thats not tall like a 100t and Catapults thats not dwarfed (Cata and Bk only 10t difference)
2:Good Mapdesigner and Animators ...MWO has the terrible looking Animations of all Mech/BT games after MW3(Ok the MWLL Mod has more terrible Animations)

Really? I think the walking animations are pretty decent and varied across all the chassis. Then again, I've only looked at other Mechwarrior games and personally haven't observed a whole lot.
I've seen the HBS BT game's animations. They seem inconsistent, especially the current knockdown animations of the Warhammer and Vulcan mechs. They are exaggerated a little bit too much.

PGI giving the game and rights to a company who actually cares about the game and the players and develops it.
