I had changed the key mapping, just a couple for turning , I cannot use WASD, or my fingers cramp, but have no problems QWES.

Basically the one that is not working is the interact key, which is now D, while in mech I have to open options, and switch to default (quicker that way) to interact, then , open options again to switch back to the QWES, to pilot mech.

when I am in the drop ship, although key mapping is still change, it is not while not in the mech, even though my interact key is D, I still have and can use E, so outside of the mech, it's set as default .
I don't see any option to change key mapping when not in Mech
I haven't changed any other keys but those 3 [I left target nearest friendly 'NONE'], so I'm unsure if changing to any thing other then default on any of the other keys don't work either, like the few I did.

again, so far, it's just the interact, that does not work when have changed key mapping for me

I cant believe I cant remap (outside the mech) movement keys.
You have got to be effing kidding me.

I do not use WASD..
I have always used the up, down, left, right, arrow & number keys, yet I cant move outside the mech unless I use the default keys.
And the interact key.. remap it, but outside the mech it's E ..
Weak guys, really weak..

Try remapping the Scroll Up and Down. Nothing works for that.

It seems like some programmers are really slow at learning why hard-coding certain keybinds is a bad thing.

I did not have this problem in beta Demo, but then again, there was nothing there to interact with to had known there was a key mapping issue.
they really should had a beta test before launch of the full game

i noticed the beta used the same save folder as the release game, so i deleted it. that might fix some keyboard mapping issues. but i didnt have the same issues with the mouse bindings as i did with the demo beta alpha.

Yeah, the game isn't detecting my mouse wheel when I try to remap it but I can use it in the menus and in-game. It's annoying as hell.

FTFY.

It's a very sad fact.

Wait, wait, I got one! I CAN'T MOVE MY LEGS! Half way through the "how to walk in a mech" portion of the intro, turning left and right just stopped happening! Regardless of what keys I bind to it and even after a reinstall, my only mode of turning is looking in the direction I want to move and pressing F to center my legs in that direction.

There are two binds per function but even using that option doesn't work properly. Right now, it seems like the only way to properly bind keys is to dig through the install files, find the one that got all the user input and change it there, similar to how it was in Rage 2. *sigh*

I can't get any key bindings to work. I can't even get the new assignments to show in the boxes in the controls page. Fortunately, I am OK using the defaults, but if you have a familiar set up of your own this must be exasperating.
