No, I'm not talking about https://mw5mercs.com/news, but about adding a timeline news feed into MW5, something more along the lines of https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Timeline done as a news channel or HPG transmission.

Well in MW5 time passing lies in the hand of the player.
If you ignore the campaign missions you could probably grind way beyond year 3200 if current time would be displayed, which would mess up any news feed. Maybe i'm already right in clan invasion without knowing because of long flight and repair times...
So a timeline makes more sense in games with linear storytelling (one handcrafted campaign mission after another, no open world to get distracted) like the old non-mercenaries MW titles.
