E3 is June 5-7, 2012, but I don't see PGI on the exhibitor list...

Maybe ComStar PGI should set up a booth at E3 to snag an enormous Target Audience... E3 is June 5-7, 2012, but I don't see PGI on the exhibitor list...

Edit: Erk... I stand corrected... see Ross's post.

Anyways, that being the case, time for a new forum topic: What kind of outrageous MechWarrior advertizing gimmick would you like to see at E3?

I would like to see some fans running around in airbrushed fiberglass Elemental Suits with Nerf cannons in the arms that shoot the little round balls, and a Nerf foam arrow launchers in the upper shoulders...

Getting to show like that is really expensive and they had problems with just starting the project, let alone buying one of the halls on E3. :)

Appears prices for a badge have doubled over last year (bleah).

Pass.

Maybe one will go just to scout around for more business for Piranha, but MW:O can probably spend the money better somewhere else.

Agreed.

Also anyone who follows the gaming press knows that E3 has become Console Country.

Additionally it's really a matter of marketing strategy. There are approaches where it would actually make sense to not show up at E3. More than one way to peel an apple. :)

Let's build a 30 ft tall replica of an Urbie and put it out in the parking lot (as long as it only takes up 1 space we're good).

I don't see Blizzard, or Bungie or Valve, or CA in there either, they're in good company of non attendees.

E3 is certainly in our plans. Remember we also have a publisher so dont read too much into not seeing us on that list. We plan to be very active in trade show season in 2012.

Oh man, just be careful with the goods! I've heard stories. Source code left on planes, theft and espionage on the floor, and more. At least you're in road trip distance for E3--shipping PCs is a pain in the butt.

What? Halo had jetpack shows with the release of Reach, marines with the release of Starcraft2, so we will have Urbies on the launch of MW:O. It would be fairly interesting to see a 1 to 1 replica of it. ;)

I am available for E3 to work as staff should you need Firefighter/Medical personnel on hand to rescue any (hot) damsels in distress. What?!?!? You never know! There could be legions of women close to feinting because they are over excited at the propsect of 12+ meter tall stomping-sexy-metallic-goodness™

See now, you can't let WoT bring in a freaking tank and not smoke them with a 20 ft Atlas with smoke effects and glowing eyes...

Watch for ROM... they don't like new technology getting out to the open market...

So, should we expect IGP to get on the exhibitor list sometime in the next few months?

Why stop there? Why don't you ask PGI to construct an actually working Urbie for E3? ^_^

You could always argue that the millions over millions of development costs for that one could be justified as you might have a chance of landing a contract with the US Dept. of Defence after completion... :(

I'll help if there's a DARPA contract in line; I have lots of laboratory and materials-science experience... I'll start with some lightweight armor. Someone else will have to do the fusion engine quickly (before GM gets there first... ;-)
