Are hero mechs randomly placed throughout the inner sphere or is there a specific planet to aquire each hero?

They also can change planets. I've seen the same hero move to other planets in the same area-sorta.. they were in different industrial zones, but still in the same factions space. I am unsure if factions pay any part in what heroes show up were as i've only seen 2, the spider, which was in davion, and the wolverine, again in davion but it moved 3 times to different zones.


PS the spider hero is so fun in this game!
