Does nascar work???
meaning circling around certain maps to see who is left behind to pick off...

Nascar is specifically only taking place when both teams are trying to rotate on each other.

All games result in a win. (well almost)

Therefore, nascar has a (nearly) 100% success rate.

LRMs were buffed. So they're actually better at nascar now.

Yes it works, rarely by virtue of it being deliberate.

Problem with using LRMs in a nascar in 2020, is that with the massive amounts of 2019 lock time nerfs your target will usually be dead before you finished getting a direct lock on it, even if you ECMed, narced and Tagged it.

Other then that just put LRMs on a fast mech and you're good to go, as far as not getting left behind by the nascar anyway.

Did you know you don't need a lock to fire lrms, and that LOS locks have most of the lock on speed bonuses rolled in without a mechlab tax?

Lrms were buffed.

All games have a winning side and a losing side, so Nascar has a 50% success rate. One win, one loss every time it happens.

At this point it exists because it's simple and people are used to it and any idiot can understand 'go right or get left behind'. It's so simple even stupid people can do it consistently so it's consistently the go-to for pug queue.

Also, most people using LRMs at this point have likely never used LOS locks often enough to realize anything changed since 2018. Any time someone says 'I'm a support build!' it can be safely translated to 'sorry guys, I'm an absolute coward. Don't expect much and please carry hard enough that I can get some damage in.'

If it takes both teams to nascar, and one team always wins, nascar has a 100% success rate.

AMS got a range buff, most AMS quirks were removed.

As someone who takes advantage of the higher health offered by multiple smaller launchers, with the shorter LOS pathing, and the artemis spread bonus I hardly think this is a problem for you.

Take a Huntsman or Mad Dog with 6 LRM 5s and check out the higher health offered by multiple small launchers works out for you. If the added health for smaller launchers was working out you would see way more LRM 10s. But really not so much. Broken

Multiple. Smaller. Launchers.

Last time I saw you play you were rocking LRM15As and AMS didn't harm your game at all.

AMS is a mechlab tax most people don't pay.

So if you're going to ignore that one team Nascars and loses than every single strategy has a 100% win rate because you're only counting the side that wins.

1 side wins, 1 side loses, both have to Nascar for it to happen, Nascar has a 50/50 win rate by its nature.

Are you going to ignore that one team always wins?

Nascar works 100% of the time.
