You presented a statement of fact in your initial post, which is on it's face incorrect...
Your assertion that i "presented a statement of fact" (such a serious phrase) that was incorrect in my initial post is in fact incorrect.
Despite the serious phrase your assertion was too vague for me to definitively ascertain what you were referring to as incorrect.
To be as clear as possible i have divided the entire post into three categories.
- Fact - can be proven
- Question - seeking additional information
- Opinion - personal assessment based on limited or questionable information
Fact: i SS match score boards (the adverb "about" with "10%" is an estimation based on fact)
Fact: while scrolling through the 2019 folder I found a couple match scores
Fact: from players SilencerGR, Humble Dexter & Smyra
Fact: which made me wonder what the highest match score achieved is
Fact: SilencerGR (had a) match score 1288 on 2k damage w/ only 1 mech
Fact: Humble Dexter (had a) match score 1033 on 3700 damage w/ only 2 mechs
Fact: Smyra (had a) match score 962 on 588 damage
Fact: Personal: 851 on 1400 damage (a loss; same match that Smyra scored 962).
Fact: Side note: saw an entire quick play end with a combined total 509 match score between 24 players
Question: What is the highest MATCH SCORE you have achieved or seen in either Faction Warfare or Quick Play?
Question: if you've seen higher than 1288 what was it, who was it, how much damage was part of that match score?
Opinion: "insanely high" is an opinion used to give a sense of elevation.
Opinion: "pro" is an opinion based label used as a shorthand reference to a group. (Even counting the rare money match at a Convention its unlikely anyone plays MWO professionally)
I get that some people are constantly looking for any way to be offended, a reason to take a stand (regardless of how rickety their soapbox is) and sound important or knowledgeable.
A couple of you are trying hard to get offended or find fault...no offence intended, no fault in simplicity.
This thread had only one purpose: locate the highest match score in a CW or QP.
That's it...no lengthy thoughts on mechanics, theory crafting, or deep discussions on right or wrong.
There is no right or wrong, just a simple question:
What is the highest match score in a CW or QP.
anyone offended is invited to Seattle for a night of GS cookies & scotch that will force rants into relax!
