I know that I've certainly been doing this, except in cases where I wind up with a big multiplier, which I save in case I ever see Frozen City(Classic). Which to be clear I've seen once since the event started, and watched it lose the vote despite my x7 at the time..
I shouldn't complain, at least I have 2/3 so far. Poorly designed event is still poorly designed however. I'd be fine if they took away map votes entirely and just never ran events that relied on getting specific maps, but that's a whole other topic.
