Hi guys, just wondering now that Mechwarrior5 is out, what is PGI going to do with MWO?

I have not touched MW5 at all, and want to know what PGI is going to do with MWO for this year and maybe even the Next Year.

@martian, well I am not using Twitter currently but since this is the Official Forums, some news or info might help people who are still playing MWO and not just MW5?

All I know is there will probably be new Challenges through out this Year, but any word on New Mech Developments?

Although you are right that this really is the official MWO forum, PGI actually ignores this place.

The PGI president Russ Bullock was last active here almost two years ago, so do not expect his announcement here any time soon. As for the MWO Community Manager, the position is vacant as of now.

So Russ Bullock is your best bet and his primary communication channel is Twitter. If you are interested in some news regarding MWO or if you want just to prod him, you should try Twitter.

What does that mean for the future of MWO? Who knows?

They're do nothing if we are lucky leaving it in an as-is state. Other than that it's on you to find reasons to play mwo over other games. Run whatever builds in qp. Maybe become an is xl non-ecm/stealth light mech pilot trying to stay alive a few seconds longer each match. Be a lrm atlas. A stock um. Whatever.

In MP terms, MWO is not only the only Battletech Mechwarrior game there is but 'cause of that default state, it is the Best. So, what other choice is there if we need to shoot some stompy mechs?

Yes there are quite a wealth of Mechs to choose from Currently. But anyone feel more Weapons or Consumables or Special Gear could be added from the BattleTech Universe?

More maps and better game modes, tweaks to FW, allowing solos to opt into GQ in a QP play.... once those are done, then add more mechs and people might come back and buy more mech packs.
