Well. The answer to this is: Maybe. IT all depends on what "powers" the rotation of the barrels. Eg. US made Gatling that are electric have to wait for spin time to start fire. The Russian gas type fire to make power from the gas.

Sir. This "game" draws from real life AND Science Fiction. Multibarrel guns exist now and are powered 1 of many ways. If you read my LAST Sentence. You will see that you can take this and ADD it to the list of Signature Items that we COULD have had in this "game". EG. Hellstar PPC , Poland Gauss Rifle Ad Nauseum, that could have added to the uniqueness.

Because i don't care much about the lore, rather i want a functioning game. Sure gas-operated gatling guns exist, no doubt about that. I'm a Gatling Gun aficionado, i know my stuff. But there's a place to everything, right now specifying how it works is moot for we can just simply impose what we think how it works by filling in the gaps of knowledge.

Just calm down, it's just a game.

I vote no. It doesn't help gameplay. Each shell only deals 0.8 or 1.5 damage, you can't deal "peakaboo" damage with that. And I don't like the effect aesthetically, I prefer the wind up until it begins firing.

I voted yes, because then part of my jam bar isn't getting wasted by not firing at all even though it's filling from the spin up. Though I feel effectively the same thing could be done by just giving the jam bars an extra half second of firing time to do a similar thing.
