I was on HPG, 2ppc uziel, dakka fafnir, dakka cyclops, spl locust. Uziel, fafnir, cyclops bad heat bug (no dissipation), locust good heat bug (I was shooting non stop and it dissipated so fast heat wouldn't go above like 10%)

Had the bad heat bug occur to myself and at least one other player on my team recently. Suddenly overheating and failing to ever dissipate on a mech that's nearly heat neutral is a real treat.

I do not think that I have ever experienced this heat bug, but I admit that on some hot MWO maps it is really hard to discern between "bug" and "feature" sometimes.

I have seen it 3 times this week, way more than normal. Something seems off with the servers or something recently.

I'm thinking its mainly server based. I never used to get it, and now it seems fairly common. Haven't had any changes unless a Windows update did it. Then again they have been known to delete files lately...maybe they're deleting heatsinks hmmmm....
Besides that though I've been in games where a bunch of people reported it.

I also wonder if it just goes unnoticed sometimes. I've had it where it was really really bad, and other times not so much. Dissipation being cut in half is a lot more noticeable than 10%.

I knew it! I don't know how they have caused it in solaris when no lrms were involved but I'm sure they figured out a way.

It's because they're leeching your heatsinks in a different game, causing desync.
