It's great to have a sniper in your team.

It's not so great to have a whole lance of them, specially when they're all standing outside the gate on a Siege Attack.

I love sniping. Just slap a single lppc on a locust or spider and there you go. speed and range to shoot at all the things. You might even hit a mech. now if I could just transfer that 40% velocity quirk to my K2 I might use er ppcs or heavy ppcs. It'd be even better if the K2 had 40% heat reduction for all ppcs then i'd actually want to use ppcs instead of ll and er lls.

It's great to have a lrm boat in your team, just not a whole lance of them.

Since when do I bring a whole lance of lrm players with me ? Since never.

Me too. I'm actually quite annoyed there were none.

FYI: I don't use the advanced zoom, it adds video lag and is usually unnecessary anyway.

But then again, I rarely snipe. I don't have the patience for it.

I am irked by the lack of armor sharing towards the end. Heck even by 6-1 they should have moved in. This type of player is becoming increasingly more common.

I mean from the looks of it they're running an XL gaushammer, so a stiff breeze will kill it.

Because LRM effectiveness is proportional to tube count minus enemy ams.

More LRM mechs = more tubes.

That’s the only way to run it :D. XL fear aside, it’s a tough mech. I wasn’t insinuating going in full hog, but it was pretty clearly a wipe match. At a point that position became no longer advantageous and probably could have gotten more dmg/kills all the while better supporting their team.

I find it useful especially above 400-500 meters: I'm not sure if it actually slows down sensitivity or is simply an impression, but I'm more precise and better at focusing the proper component I'm willing to hit while using it.
I could have not performed many of my headshots without advanced zoom

I had one match when we were winning 6 to 3 and I was almost fresh, so I've decided to join the brawl. Once in the center of canyon of network, I found out my team mates were one hit kills and the 3 remaining thugs were completely fresh medium-heavy brawlers with SRMs and LBXs: no need to point out my side was critted and blown off in 2 strikes.

Since then I never-ever lose range or power positions and look for a brawl unless I'm absolutely and completely sure I can win a fight below SRM maximum range

My gausshammers are both LFE. One even has 6ERML instead of 4. They are slow for QP, but they still work in that environment, and it's not like he's zooming around in those videos.

Well, even when I had the patience to sit in the back and snipe, I never found advanced zoom to be of any significant use and actually more of a hindrance.

HOWEVER, if it's working for you, cool.

My preferred style of play is to be up there armor sharing and attempting to get my head shots off those who face tank me.

Please elaborate. What is lagging, rendering in general or the advanced zoom part? I thought their ancient version of CrutchEngine runs fine even on typewriters these days. I never noticed any such lag, and I advance zoom quite often.
