Aha, that ought to do it.
Damn it! So close! OK, even *more* cheese.
OK, this time for sure.
Thank goodness! I was worried I might not play enough matches before they shut the servers down. It's official: I'm a pro now.

It's easier to do in Faction Play because the mode forces more tactical play than mindless nasrcaring, so on an average game, it's a lot easier to pop 1000+ damage with the first mech.
In QP, a good average is any game with 500+ damage..
Kills and KMDDs are still as they were.. a 1 on 1 ratio (meaning it's good it you got the same, or better, number of kills or KMDDs as mechs lost.. so 1+ for QP or 4+ for FP).
I don't consider myself a Pro or anything, just a casual gamer.. A PRO would be somebody who drops 8 hours a day or does Comp..

I didn't consider the shc to be a light mech. As for hard lights are hard to learn but easy to play. The hardest light to use is any 35t is light without ecm and using xl. That will teach you map awareness, map positioning and light mechs' weaknesses faster than anything else.
I consider the cda a light as it gets around 100kph. Most clankers only hit 81kph or the blanner which I think of as a light hunter-killer due to it being excellent in that role with 100kph speed,a tag, and ssrms. I don't have the shcs so not sure to how well they'd make the light h-k role. Most of them I see fail miserably as the er ppc wana snipe types. Clans really don't have speed with cou at 81, the adr at 91 or the kfox around 100kph. Most is lights easily out race those speeds. Under 91kph I consider slow.
Yes I'm biased on the speed aspect of lights. My first light was the jenner-d(f).

You mean because you got your Mrs to play MWO - so she can run a NARC for you, so you can actually hit things with missiles while you hide behind 11 other mechs LRMing from 900m away?
If that means you "are back to usual"... lol. right.

Really? Hmm. I thought it was rather difficult to get to T1 in this game because of how well the ELO system was designed, but to each their own.

There seems to be a consensus that the ranking system in MWO is not good. The Tier system has an upwards bias. So long as you are statistically average you will eventually make it to Tier 1. This is the rough rundown:
Win and do well = + points
Win and do average = +points
Win and do terrible = stay the same
Lose and do really well = + points
Lose and do well = stay the same
Lose and do ok or badly = - points
The main factor is the number of games that you play. So long as you are a fairly mediocre player if you play long enough you will reach T1. So if youre good you will get there faster, but that's about it.
This is why the skill disparity in T1 is really high, you have some excellent and fairly mediocre players. The best way to look at Tiers is like an XP bar. Tier 1 players are experienced in MWO this does not reflect skill however.
You didn't play many games until the past couple of months, you'd have made it there sooner if you played more, but statistically you are one of the better players so you got there pretty quick anyways.
