Well.. Long time no see. It's been 4 years since I properly posted something here.

I am currently retexturing the Shadowhawk for our new full-CG fan film we are doing. More on that later. This Texture is of course imaginary and based on my idea of how a 14m war robot would look. I also added some kitbash elements where I felt the model needed more detail The ingame normal was used, but AI-upscaled to a usable resolution.

I'll show you some screenshots of the work, since I am pretty much done and ready to move on to the next mechs in our imaginary lance.

That looks awes.

Did you put the normals though Substance or something like it? Good results.

Hey, yea I used an AI Upscaler to get them up to 4K, then mixed them into my overall substance material. They end up barely noticeable, but they drive some effects on the worn edges of the base paint and rust, so that highlights them again.

Lots of other normal/height details are added and painted in, substance then upscales it again to match the final 8K resolution of all the exported channels.

That means a lot coming from you btw! Your mech art is amazing.
