Hi i have a question:

in the Patch notes from the 24th of March
https://mw5mercs.com...03/34-mw5-patch

it is mentioned that we can now edit the Sensor Range with:
MWTargetTrackingComponent Base SensorRange

But i am completely unable to find it and therefore unable to edit the Sensor Range

Does anyone now where to find it in the Content folder?

Ok i found it but when i try to edit it i get "could not find code file"

Maybe there is an easier way to edit the sensor Range?

What did you want to edit. I uploaded a sensor optional file with my AIMod at Nexus Mods (vision 1500m, identify 750m). Otherwise look in the AI/Common/Sensors folder.

i want to edit the players sensor range.

the idea is to give the weapons the Tabletop weapons range and DMG.

I also want to adjust it to the bigger mechs and scale it accordingly. Sadly the lrm range exceeds the players sensor range wthin LOS.

i just uninstalled it, needed the space for doom eternal. the mod tools footprint of some of these newer games is absurd, so i don't think i will do any modding for mw5. games that do modding really need to use archive formats that are capable of random access. i remember this debate from my time in the freespace community.

i am not a huge shooter fan. But i do like Battletech and MW5 is actually pretty decent IMHO.

i just wanted the game to feel more like the TT game.
From a gameplay perspective i like the idea of running a mercenary company, but sadly the game doesn't really make the management aspect deep or challenging enough. I would like it closer to the campaign mode of megamek
