It's just the one match. My God I had some bad luck though, so many hesitant groups who tried to sit back and plink away at the reds with no coordination. I guess they got farmed by Very Good Players in Riflemen IIC-2s and tried to emulate it. VGL-3 ATM cheese wins the day though.

Got the 500 MS last night shortly after kick off. When they adjusted the tier balance and made it suck less I started playing more again and brought out my Quarantine and had a couple of good matches. Ticked two of the event items off the list in just a couple of matches.

Kind of worried though, one match I did 666 damage. I guess it is true, LRMs are the devil.

Personally 500 match score isn’t hard enough. I suggest 700 match score next time for some ultra pimp rewards.

Is it just me, or is something up with getting credit for using AMS right now? I just ran a Nova with 3xAMS with 2.5t of ammo, and despite using up all my ammo and destroying 752 missiles, I I didn't see any indication that I got credit for it, either in in-game C-bill bonus money, or in match score. I did 394 damage with lasers, and my match score was 394. I did absolutely no team damage.

Anyone else notice anything?

Worked properly for me last night in my Nova. Emptied my bins of AMS ammo during the match, pew pewed people with my lasers constantly, and got a few kills/KMMDs in the process. It does feel like if I only shoot missiles/do damage but score no kills, my match score tends to be lower than I'd expect.

it's very much in the possible range. Missiles destroyed gets you roughly 0.14 points of matchscore per destroyed missile, damage goes by 0.42 points.
Also missiles destroyed never got you any CBill-reward.

Yeah, I kinda figured AMS didn't factor into C-bills money...one of those things I tend to get mixed up sometimes. I think what threw me off was seeing the information in the challenge regarding damage done with energy weapons. It said I did 394, exactly the same amount as my matchscore. Just a coincidence, what with all the stuff that goes into matchscore calculations.

I did manage the 500 matchscore quite easily in my MAD-3R. Couple of LB10-X ACs and 4 medium lasers tends to work pretty good, can really do some damage close in and take a beating to boot. Just a few kills shy of redeeming the challenge.

The thing is 500 MS can be a problem to get to all those Tier 1 pilots who should be Tier 2 or 3. For anyone properly rated 500 MS just happens every few games.

That pretty much describes me, I've had several 460+ms matches but not the elusive (for me), 500 yet.

no worries mate. "stay on target", invest in a uav or arty, better 2 of them, and you should be fine.

Solo kills are the bottleneck. I often end up with a kill and 5-10 assists, but far fewer solo kills. That's for the "My alpha is bigger than your alpha" crowd. Maybe play my Piranhas for a day and run around looking for lost lambs.
