Dr. No

Sean Connery plays James Bond is this adventure.

The movie begins with three blind men gunning down a scientist. When a radio transmission is interrupted, James Bond is sent to investigate. What he finds is a tangled web of spies, geology, and a reclusive Dr. No and his private island. After a close encounter with a large spider James Bond heads for the island where he meets a girl gathering sea shells. After dodging troops, he surrenders when faced with an armored flamethrower (mini-tank). Escaping his cell he causes Dr. No's reactor to blow up.

Not really a movie for young children. Slow drama, some action, and the darker side of James Bond shows when he guns down an opponent.
