What should be my positioning? I can't find good strategy to use range advantage of cERPPs. Any advices?

Just roll with the team. ERPPC Warhawk can even brawl if necessary.

Also keep a lookout for warhawk ppc mechs in your games, note their positioning.
Then at the End of Round screen if that pilot did good, it was probably a good spot.
Its how I learnt, by watching the EMP bois and other good players and where they go to, what grids and paths they use.
