Is the tier reset in the patch today?

I'm pretty sure the 'Full Update' from that tweet means a forum post announcing the update, mechanics, and a day picked for the inevitable patch .....

No, there is ingame notification that game will be offline in about 5 hours.

And even worse, there's NO Patch Notes again, because somebody in PGI's Staff is severely lacking in Common Sense to actually tell the Player Community about anything that's going on!!!


EDIT :: And I am finding there's no Patch Files to download... But, things say they're back to Online for status... Yet, my Game Client can NOT manage to Login now... WHAT FREAKING GIVES?!?!? I'm losing time here, dangit!

Just guessing but the PGI probably encountered some problems implementing changes or they have something else to do. Or maybe they have some surprise for us? Hope it'a good surprise. Whatever, we just have to wait.

EDIT: I see some just waiting for the "tier reset race". Just joking, don't kill me.

I was just now able to Login, and therefore will be getting back to the battlefields shortly. I just can't tell what's going on as of yet, but my head is running a bit more cool now.

I think, however, that you're right about either Maintenance or something else odd in the background that required a short burst of downtime. My PSR didn't change, which may suggest things having to be postponed, even though I fully expected a difference to be there. We'll soon know what's going on.

The PSR reset/;change is being QA now and working as expected. Paul said it would not be a huge patch but both client and servers would have to come down to update when it is ready. He is supposed to let us know here in a day or two when they will be able to patch that update.

"UPDATE: ETA is Tuesday June 30th. " As it reads on the updated post linked right above. I think it will be cool to see what happens.

There are semi regular shutdowns of the servers in all online games. That dosn't mean that there will be patching or anything but that they will do something with the servers. Like resetting them or just maintainance.
Its just that most of the time patches will be made at these dates because the servers are down anyway so its a good time to do it.

As said above ETA is June 30th if everything runs as they want to.
