Star Trek Beyond

PG 13

After a failed peace mission, the young Kirk takes his ship and crew off on a rescue mission. Arriving at the area, they are attacked by a swarm of smaller ships and the Enterprise is torn apart. Landing on a new world, Spock is injured. Kirk discovers that his attacker is named Krull, who is after part of a weapon that his ship had onboard. Krull intends to use the weapon to attack a star base and bring war to the galaxy. Kirk and crew must get a crashed ship back into space to save the universe.

Fast paced action. A good movie, and yet Kirk manages to get the famed Enterprise ripped out from under him. Great special effects. Nor for young children..
