Alligator

Rated R, 1980. Features Robert Forster

At the start of the film a young girl watches a alligator wrestling match as it goes wrong and the star of the show gets hurt. She obtains a baby Alligator only a short while later her dad gives the little guy a unwelcomed flush. From there, the movie takes the story of an Alligator in the sewer to a whole new level as a plain clothes cop is called to a sewer treatment plant where a man's arm is discovered. When a dog napper goes into the sewer to dispose of some animals from a drug company's experiments he meets the baby alligator, all grown up and looking for supper.
When the plain clothes cop goes into the sewer with a uniformed officer the pair find themselves on the run from the gator.
The police try all sorts of trick, tossing grenades into open water, and even an attempt to force it out of the sewers causing the gator to bust through a side walk. In one scene a pair of boys force a third to walk the plank using the diving board of a swimming pool. It's not a little fish waiting for the kid. Not even a big game hunter is a match for the gator which also loves to crash a wedding and smash a limo with it's tail.

Alligator, a classic of animal monster movies from the 80's. Contains violence, blood, male pattern baldness jokes, some language. Go ahead and let jr. watch the movie, it will keep him out of the storm drains for awhile.
