The Gatling Gun

1971

While this movie will never make on my favorite movie list, it is an action backed Western Styled movie and chalk full of shootem up violence. I would not recommend this movie for young children, however if you enjoy cowboy and Indian styled movies, then you might like this one. Features John Carradine, Guy Stockwell, and Robert Fuller.

The movie begins with a pair of army deserters stashing a Gatling gun into an old mine before blasting the entrance closed. The Calvary closes quickly upon the thieves, and one of them is shot while carrying explosives (yeah boom). As the weapon is recovered the army comes under indian attack. As the army detachment takes shelter at a mission flaming arrows are used against them and their horses are s tolen. The Indians want the Gatling, although they don't know it doesn't work. The survivors take refuge at a rocky outcropping and manage to repair the weapon. The movie ends with nothing short of a slaughter..
