Patch - Sept 22nd 2020 @ 10AM – 1PM PDT

Patch Number: 1.4.230.0

Standalone Client Patch Size: 13 KB

Please note that due to compression differences the Steam patch size may be larger than the standalone client patch size.

• Patch Files (Direct Download) - http://patcher.mwomercs.com/patch/Production/frontend/FrontendPatch_380.zip

13 KB? What is this? A patch for ants?

HAHA, no.

This patch is to get the MWO Competitive queue prepped for the...

MWO COMP CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES 2020

Comp Queue opens September 29th!

Check out the details here.

Changes

  • Comp queue start time set
  • Comp queue Map Rotation

Patch Files (Direct Download)

To make the patching process easier for players with limited download caps, we'll be providing direct download links for the patch file(s) that comprise this patch. This will allow you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, for manual injection into the MWO patcher through a Patch Cache folder.
Aside from allowing you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, on another connection, there are no additional benefits to performing the patch this way; the patching process itself will be the same.
This direct patch download process will only work for players running the standalone client. It does not apply to players running MWO through Steam.

Patch File(s): http://patcher.mwomercs.com/patch/Production/frontend/FrontendPatch_380.zip

How to use these patch files
• Download the above file(s)
• For sake of ease, we recommend creating a dedicated folder for the patch file(s), such as 'MWO Patch Cache'
• You do not need to unzip or unpack the patch file(s)
• Launch the MWO Portal
• Select the three horizontal lines in the top left of the Portal Window
• Choose the 'Specify Patch File Cache' option
• In the field that appears, paste or enter the location in which you saved the patch file(s) and hit OK
• For example, C:\Users\<username>\Documents\MWO Patch Cache
• Click the blue Patch button
• The launcher will now check the Patch Cache folder you defined. If it locates the required patch files, it will unpack and use those files to apply the patch.
• Once the patch is complete, launch the game

I remember patches like this:

MechWarrior Online May 15th Patch Notes

Tuesday, May 15th 2018 @ 10AM – 1PM PST

Patch Number: 1.4.169.0

Standalone Client Patch Size: ~900 MB

Steam Client Patch Size: 1.2 GB

Please note that due to compression differences the Steam patch size may be larger than the standalone client patch size.

Greetings MechWarriors!
The Blood Asp is here and it's already causing a stir! With a Solaris 7 Division 1 placement and some last minute manufacturing tweaks (shoulder cannon size correction), players will see the Blood Asp roll out in style. Look for a Quickplay 'Mech Challenge for Blood Asp owners starting on May 17th.
The Solaris City map is here! Teased at Mech-Con the look of the map is unlike anything currently in rotation. I don't know about you, but I'm betting this Vegas looking map is going to popular! Remember: What happens in Solaris City...does not stay in Solaris City.
We also have New Bolt-ons, and more 'Mechs supporting Bolt-ons(The Ghillie Bolt-ons are one of my favorite new items in our game)! All this with tons of tuning changes and a handful of bug fixes round out the patch! Read on for all the details!

See you on the Battlefield,
The MechWarrior Online Team.

Perhaps PGI saves all patches that patch stuff for one big all-encompassing patching patch.

Do you patch it? Posted Image

I hope that the "Mini-Challenge #4" from "Heroes to the Rescue" will get a minor 1-Day Extension because of this. I have been unable to even touch that prior to now due to some Real Life happenings, and I'm simply not doing well at the current moment. Unfortunately, I also remember how it took awfully long to do a Validate Patch on the previous Game Update served to everyone. This means that I'll likely end up with three hours less than I might have had if this Patch was not smacking me in the face, which is a dangerously significant impact upon me, amplified nastily by my current condition. :(

Why that, when we could have the UM-IIC-Prime & other Variants in the MWO game? :P

Now this, I can DEFINITELY agree with you on. We're stupidly overdue – like by two years – for the "UrbanMech IIC" to come along! B)

The AWS-9Q should've been a thing years ago for timeline reasons. That and I think it should be easy to make as it's a mirror of the gun-arm side of the AWS-8Q. I think there are other variants that can be easily put in as well.

I'd really like to see split-crit weapons. I'm tired of running only standard engines with the heavy gauss when canon examples like the AS7-S2 can do it just fine. What gives? Posted Image

Can't wait to see the same 3 clans take poll positions again. Competitive in a game with a dwindling population under 1k...pretty sure effort is better spent elsewhere, like selling the IP?

Hey can we get the old PSR algorithm back while we're at it? Getting real sick of getting bumped down because of braindead teams.

Actually, it's not the Old PSR that we need. What we REALLY need is for PGI's Paul Inouye to wake up and re-activate a little bit of Tonnage-related Balancing in the MatchMaker, because it is currently completely failing to do any at all. :(

Protip- if you keep going down then it's not the team that is the problem. The biggest change was people stopped going up in tier just because they were on the winning team. In your case, you should settle around upper tier 4. It's not a punishment, it's positioning you to play with others around your skill level.

if you want to have that tier 1 badge, you gotta play up to that level now. otehrwise I don't see any problem being in a different tier, matches should be more enjoyable.

But I guess you'll always complain. If you were in T1, it'd be the toxic comp players always stomping you.

I've just been put up to T1 the other day (dropped back to T2 while skilling a light but will be back to T1 soon) and have only been playing for about 4 months.. and literally never used LRMs so it's not because of farming.. I'm not skilled enough to play comp players! help! :P

But in all seriousness, in my experience, most of the time, when someone blames a team for being bad after losing, it's after the game and they did no talking to direct the team or provide their superior skillz and knowledge.. At the very least people can press R and call a target or throw up a UAV, It's a team based game.. I'm not very good at the game and are now T1 so if you are heading to T4, it's something you are doing.. lol
