Why not when you have a monday mechwarrior update, you announce a mini-event during the update that lasts perhaps 24 hours afterwards? You could also have a default of cbills just in case rotating between stuff like: lance in formation, kill assists, kills/kmdd, damage accumulated, match score accumulated, etc.
