This is just to make any Atlas owners aware that the mech does have one single decent high mount which is just slightly below cockpit level. This is the missile mount. If you place one single MRM in the Atlas, it will go into this high mount, giving you the potential to shoot with an MRM40 in situations where all your other weapons will eat dust.



You get the ability to throw a potential 40 damage attack on enemies without fully exposing the mech or shooting down on enemies from platforms like on top of HPG.







Just something for you to consider if you wish you had something decent to shoot when in situations like this. Since you only have one mount this high, maximizing it with an MRM40 or MRM30 is probably the best to maximize your damage output. You can still shoot your MRMs in a brawl and it has over 500 range so you're not losing out on anything by having it.

If you do the 2x MRM30 on your Atlas, consider binding the top MRM30 to a different key so you can shoot it without wasting heat and ammo from firing the lower mounted one.
