I just reinstalled MWO on my computer 2 days ago. The first time I launched the game it almost got to the “Waiting room”. ( I’m not sure what its called.) But then the game crashed. Then when I tried to open it again an error message appeared saying; “This app can’t run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher.” I tried running the compatibility trouble shooter and subsequently adjusting the compatibility mode, however that didn’t work either. Now when I click on the desktop shortcut I get the error box that below:

"Sorry, the portal crashed. Here's what I think Caused it:
The type initializer for 'Awesomium.Core.WebCore' threw an exception.
Stack Trace:
at Awesomium.Core.WebCore.get_IsInitialized()
at MWO_Portal.View.PortalView..ctor()
at MWO_Portal.App.runPortal()

->Inside that:

Please pass this along to PGI, either by emailing support or posting it in the MWO forums."

I did submit a support ticket first, but id like the opinion of the forum Gurus.

What are your system specs? Do you have a 32-bit operating system?

And the system requirement page does not even list 64bit....

Q: What do I need to play MWO?

Minimum Specifications Required:
Operating System: Windows 7
Processor: Intel: Core 2 Duo E7300 @ 2.66 GHz / AMD: Athlon 64 X2 6400+ @ 3.2GHz
RAM: 4 GB RAM
Video Card: NVIDIA: 8800 GT / AMD: Radeon HD 5670
DirectX: Version 9.0c
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 25GB (50GB temporarily required during installation)

Recommended Specifications Required:
Operating System: Windows 7
Processor: Intel: Core i5-3470 @ 3.20 GHz / AMD: FX-6300 @ 3.5 GHz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Video Card: NVIDIA: GeForce GTX 660 / AMD: Radeon HD 7870
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 50 GB available space

Removal of 32-bit support

As of the April 17th patch, MechWarrior Online will no longer support 32-bit systems. The MechWarrior Online client and its features have for some time now been hitting the limits of performance and stability under 32-bit systems when it comes to memory.

I would advise doing a complete uninstall of the GPU drivers, using DDU https://www.wagnards....php?f=5&t=3430 then reinstall the drivers. You may consider installing an older GPU driver if the newest does not resolve the issue. And fyi by default for sometime Windows also updated device drivers, which I have run into issues with twice, when Windows did a major update it reset things back to default including installing drivers. What a pita.

Also is windows fully up-to-date?

The reason we questioned what OS version, 32 or 64bit was due to the part of the log you had posted with the int32.. integer number.

Also current mode Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (30Hz) is concerning.

this seems to never get old, even in 2022
why shoud windows reset your gpu drivers to an older version? windows installs the oldest possible driver (standard driver for everybody) when you setup a new graphics card, everything else is up to you.i dont understand why people giving tips again and again , that simply are not true.I read such responses all over the net, throwing unesseccary, pointless workarounds into the round that are not fixing the problem in any way.simply say update your gpu driver woud do the trick.this background knowledge (where the hell it ever came from) is pure missinformation.

TLDR: windows is not your enemy
