Dear players,

If you are searching for an online mechlab the current best source would be this:

Posted Image

https://mech.nav-alpha.com

This mechlab allows to you to:
  • Design mech loadouts and link to them (Example)
  • Export/Import loadouts from the website into MWO client and vice versa (Example: See below)
  • Theorycraft mechs not in the game (e.g. Stone Rhino) or announced ones soon to be in the game
The following is a link for a Blood Asp that can be imported/exported in the MWO client and the website:
A2;E<:@1|m<2p`0mX7|h<2|l^|l^q`0kX7|l^|l^|l^|l^rh0jX7|1C|PC|l^sh0nX7|PC|1C|l^|l^t41oX7|l^u410Y7|l^vB0iX7wJ0F0F0

The nav-alpha mechlab is also heavily used on other sites such as Grimmechs provide you with mech build proposals.

As an honourable mention the orginal mechlab used for many years was the one from smurfy:
https://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab
Unfortunatelly it is no longer updated so please refer to nav-alpha if you want up-to-date data.

Mech DB is great. The only thing I wish it had (that Smurfy does have) is something like the equipment page: https://mwo.smurfy-net.de/equipment

Kill2Blit is working on v2.0 of MechDB and I think it should include something like that. You can always leave feedback on the website and make suggestions.

Bah! Favouritism! I mean, granted smurfy's is no longer up to date, but I can still plan loadouts on it!

Smurfy works better - not perfectly, on an IPad than MechDB.

First-World problem...

Good hunting,

agreed, MechDB on an iPad is kind of infuriating.

Wow, just found out about this MechDB Alpha 2.0, thanks to Aidan Crenshaw...

Thanks to Aidan Crenshaw's heads-up, there is a suitable Smurfy replacement:

MechDB (Alpha v2.0 currently--but it's good enough to be used right now!)

https://mwo.nav-alpha.com/mechs
https://mwo.nav-alpha.com/equipment
https://mwomercs.com...-the-mwo-client

1. Just gave MechDB alpha 2.0 a spin, and it's a full replacement of the old (outdated) Smurfy!
Especially appreciate:
~Weapons stats table
~Weapons Ghost Heat table
~Mech Table View (useful for quickly figuring out mech hardpoint differences within the same chassis, especially for OmniMechs).
~I only use the Mech Tile View for viewing mech quirks.
~It's got interesting Ghost Heat info such as what happens when you fire 6x Clan UAC5 at the same time!

Missing Info (But hey, this is Alpha version, to be expected!):
~Jump Jet info
~I wish that the Mech Table View's right hand side also shows the mech quirks, that would be very useful!

2. Where can we give direct feedback to MechDB Forum?
~I wish that the Mech Table View's right hand side also shows the mech quirks, that would be very useful!
